Nino Cruttenden Cafe des Arts - cafe assistant "When Nino started he was unsure and had no experiance...he quickly became an intergral part of the team.  He needed extra skills to work alongside and encourage people with autism who work at this social enterprise.  He has completed training in working with autism, and now works permanantly for Autism Sussex.

Grand Opening of Cafe des Arts opened by Bob Hoskins

 

BAFTA-winning actor Bob Hoskins paid a visit to Hastings today to open up the town’s newest café. The star of Mona Lisa, Who Framed Roger Rabbit and the Long Good Friday was invited to be Guest of Honour at the opening of Café des Arts on Robertson Street.

 

The Café des Arts is a Social Enterprise and the aim of the café and art gallery is to provide people with autism with an opportunity to undertake work-based learning and to showcase and sell their art work.

 

The Grand Opening took place with around 50 guests including those who had contributed to the launch of the enterprise as well as service users.
